TAMIT Membership Opportunities

Through Active membership, the Tennessee Association of Medical Interpreters and Translators (TAMIT) offers numerous opportunities to further your education and career with information, classes, resources, & programs that address the specific needs and interests of interpreters, translators, and advocates alike. Individual Memberships are available for Professionals and Students who are interested in becoming active members of the organization. “Active” members are those individuals who are willing and able to take an active role in the current and future development of TAMIT an organization of medical interpreters and translators.

Responsibilities

Active members’ responsibilities include attendance at the planned annual meetings, engagement in the decision-making process, and payment of the annual fees (dues) in a timely fashion.

Student Requirements

Student status will be proved with a valid student credential issued by the academic institution the student is attending. This credential – or certificate of completion – should be uploaded as a .PDF, or any other image file at the applying for membership. Student members are required to support TAMIT’s mission and goals. Like other active members, student members do have the right to vote.
